Basori is a general term for the language of the Pasori peoples. It literally means "the true language."

The spoken language is recognizable across the Pasori Empire, although there are many dialects and tribe-specific vocabularies.

Written Basori

Up until very recently Basori had been a spoken language only. The written component was introduced in 737 by the Emperor, who had developed it over the course of a few years. It's original purpose was to phonetically convert the Santri bible into a form that Basori speakers could understand. As such, the alphabet can be written with the Santri alphabet as well as in an Basori alphabet, which was created specifically to cater to Pasori motifs and tastes.
