The wen is a small aboreal rodent that inhabits the Southern Jungle. They are diurnal and favor the canopy.
Two major species are the Common Wen and the Maned Wen. Both are rust colored and spotted, with males having a larger mean body size than the females. Both species use hooting calls to communicate.
Wens are ubiquitous throughout their range, and are often used as a local food source.
